Loneliness

Language... has created the word 'loneliness'
to express the pain of being alone.
And it has created the word 'solitude'
to express the glory of being alone.

I had never imagined these two words could mean differently. Simply beautiful. Thanks for this Madhu.

I've read Osho's speaches in which he differentiates loneliness and aloneness. Lonliness he says occurs when there is absence of the other. When we miss someone else, there occurs loneliness. Aloneness according to him being with oneself and nothing related to the other.

Paul Tillich observation also has an impact as soon as we read it. It gives me tremendous energy reading it and gives me the power to abhor loneliness and embrace solitude.
