The Wisdom Times
We dissect nature along lines laid down by our native language.
Language is not simply a reporting device for experience but a defining framework for it. [Unknown]
TWIST Comment: I remember a conversation about stars and constellations with fellow friends. One of them remarked, "....what's more amazing is that man has managed to find the correct name for each star". There is a great truth in this for us all. From the time we start learning words in any language, we start labeling things around us. We see a tree and attach a label to it: 'a tree', in an atmost casual way. ...and so it happens with everything in our lives. If for once we switch off this induced mechanism of labeling things and look at nature in it's very own nature, we could see more deeper and we could see life.
