The Wisdom Times
For what is it to die,
But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind? [Kahlil Gibran, from "The Prophet"]
TWIST Comment: We have been taught that death happens in the end. We've never questioned this for a fact. The wise people in the world tell us death is a continuum. It happens every moment in our lives. Did we know that our physical body is capable of shedding millions of dead cells every moment! And each of these cells have an imprint of life in them. Our mental states undergo death as well. How can we otherwise explain loss of memory or a dream? With death comes life. Death is not an end, but a beginning of a new life. If you are anywhere near 30 years, think of how many different types of lives you've come through? As a baby, a child, an adolescent, as a youth, as a person sitting and thinking about all that now... In all those states we all had a life totally different from what it is here and now. I have a staunch belief in after life and rebirth. To me, rebirth is not something that happens in the next turn after the final death. It happens every moment. Every new step we take leads us into a completely new journey of life. A continuous interaction of death and birth is what keeps life moving. Do not fear death, for in befriending it we learn how to live.
