The Wisdom Times
Don't be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much life so. [Henry David Thoreau]
TWIST Comment: Morality is often defined by our belief systems and cultures. More often than we think, morality can inhibit the joy of living. What is called morality today in the wake of globalization is totally different from the comfort of closed economies a few decades ago. Today, the world is well interconnected and cultures interwined, it's time for us to take a relook at our definition of morality. More and more morality is being defined by the law of the land and driven through fear into the social system. To shackle the boundaries of such restrictions would be a revolution of sorts. Every human should define for themselves a moral standard and live by it. If one is not harming their surrounding and doing the right thing every time, then the world can be a safe place to live in. Morality begins from one's self and from one's home.
