All human beings are miserable due to their own faults, and
they themselves can be happy by correcting these faults.[Mahavir]
TWIST Comment: Though at the periphery, most of our sorrow seem to come from other's actions, a deeper introspection could prove that the misery is our own self-doing. Irrespective of whether or not the other had done that, we still are bound to feel miserable. The most common I've come across in daily life is the false expectation that we might have in a given situation. Since our expectation was not met by the other, we normally accuse the others of intrusive actions.
A dog barking on the road could disturb us during meditation. The dog sure doesn't know you are meditating. Even if it knows it is not barking to disturb you. Isn't it the dog's nature to bark?
