In all adversities there is always in its depth,
a treasure of spiritual blessings secretly hidden.
(Swami Chinmayananda)
TWIST: Often we do not notice the blessings but are usually taken astray by the powerful feelings any adversity imposes on us. This is when the situation overpowers our capability. However, human mind has a tendency to come back to it's normal equilibrium when it's state is altered either through happiness or by sorrow. This is the reason sanity is so common in our world than the lack of it. Where there is depression, there is elation and vice versa. The wise one would choose to tread the mid-way though with an awareness of falling off and getting back again. It's not whether we get back again (or not) that matters, but an awareness that we can if we choose to. The mid-way is that of a nonchalant witness rather than the experiencer. The witness sees it all - the event, the result, the subject and it's objects. The witness glimpses the blessing too. In fact, witnessing itself is a blessing.
